Bertha "Betty" Mary Jane (Kaiser) McClellan

Bertha (Betty) Mary Jane McClellan, 84, of Okemah, OK. passed away Thursday, February 02, 2023 at SSM in Shawnee, OK. Betty was born in Quakertown Pennsylvania, on August 11th, 1938 to William Kaiser and Bertha (Huhn) Kaiser. Betty married Jerry McClellan, on April 12th, 1958 in Shelly, Pennsylvania.

Betty was a circuit tester for Western Electric (AT&T), where she worked for over 20 years. Betty enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, making fabergé eggs, puzzles, her sweet dog Molly and more importantly spending time with her family.  She was a member of Highway Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her son, Steven McClellan of the home; daughter Jeannine Greenwood of Okemah, OK; grand-daughters Stephanie of Oklahoma City, Rebecca of Okemah OK, Cheyanne of Okemah, OK, Sherri and husband, Mario Martinez of Del City, OK; great grand-daughters, Roxie and Savannah Martinez; great grand-son; Kennedy Martinez; and many friends and family.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha Kaiser; brothers, John and Bill Kaiser; sisters, Pauline Satek and Dotty Holland; husband, Jerry McClellan; son, Kenneth McClellan; and son-in-law, Bruce Greenwood. Betty will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at  Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at  Highway Baptist Church, north of Seminole, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
