Bernice Mary (Thomas) Storms

Bernice Mary (Thomas) Storms, age 90, passed away at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma, on Saturday, December 26, 2009. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Zimmerman Cemetery in Polo, Missouri under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Fr. Bob Rost will officiate.  Visitation is Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Bernice was born on October 29, 1919, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Tillie (Bowman) and Edwin Thomas.  She did secretarial work as a collections clerk and as a receptionist for a clothing store.  She married Aloysious C. Storms.  Recently, Bernice lived at the Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Allen, Oklahoma.  She was a life-long member of the Catholic faith. Bernice is survived by one daughter, Delores Paulson of Edmond, Oklahoma; and by fourteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Tillie Thomas; two sons, Paul James Bond and Michael Thomas Bond; first husband, Paul McKinley Bond, and second husband, Aloysious C. Storms.
