Bentley Joe Pierce, 70 year-old, lifelong Seminole County resident passed from this life on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Seminole Care And Rehabilitation Center in Seminole. He was born March 20, 1941 in Wolf, Oklahoma to parents Bonnie Jewel Pierce and Stella Mae (Robertson) Pierce. Bentley married Wanda Roberson on August 30, 1974 and they had two sons, Randal Pierce of Seminole and Brian Pierce of Seminole. He also served in the United States Army. Bentley worked for Bill Weems and other oilfield companies for many years as a roughneck. He also worked at the Jimmie Austin Golf Course. He enjoyed sports and was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He also had a love for animals especially dogs. When he was able, he attended Bowlegs Assembly of God Church as well as Old Glory Assembly of God. Survivors include his former wife and the mother of his children, Wanda (Roberson) Pierce of Seminole; two sons, Randal Pierce and Brian Pierce both of Seminole; three grandsons, Jay Randal “Boomer” Pierce, Caden Pierce and Garrett Pierce; and a host of other family and dear friends. Bentley was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Pierce and Junior Votaw; two sisters, Bea Johnson and Sally Collins. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2011 at Wolf Cemetery with military honors. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
