Benny Trent

Benjamin Harrison “Benny” Trent, Jr., 47 year old, longtime Seminole resident passed from this life Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in Edmond, Oklahoma.  He was born November 24, 1964 in Duncan, Oklahoma to parents Benjamin Harrison Trent and Lorene Elizabeth (Barrick) Trent. On June 21, 1996 Benny married Deborah Anne Maye in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Benny moved to Seminole 17 years ago from Duncan, Oklahoma.  He worked as a truck driver for Best Well Service in Prague, Oklahoma.  He was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation and enjoyed fishing, hunting, roping, shooting pool and cooking out for his family and friends. Benny leaves to cherish his memory his wife of almost 16 years, Deborah Anne (Maye) Trent of the home; his mother-in-law, Shirley Maye of Seminole, Oklahoma; one step-son, Jeremy and his wife Kathy Dennis of Seminole, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, Deena and her husband Randy Self of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Jamie Blalock of Konawa, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law, Kent Maye and his family of Seminole, Oklahoma; three brothers, Val and his wife Joyce Luce of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Jerry and his wife Cynthia Luce of Checotah, Oklahoma and Earnie and his wife Annie Luce of Checotah, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Rachelle Lovett, Destiny Craft, Jacob Hicks,Dalton Self, Hannah Self, Emily Self, Lindsay Freeman and Zachary Dennis; five great-grandchildren, Mikinzee Nielson, Chloe Lane, Isaiah Freeman, Serinity Dennis, Tayton Dennis; and a host of other family and dear friends. Benny was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Faye Houston, one niece Shelly Houston and his father-in-law, Devoe Maye. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Internment will follow at Little Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Nance will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be: Jason Blalock, Marcus Freeman, Zachary Dennis, Randy Self, Jeremy Dennis and James Renfro. Honorary bearers will be: Wendell Houston, Keith Houston, Jerry Luce, Scott Luce, Brian Luce and Eric Cross. Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
