Belinda Harjoche

Belinda “Billie” Harjoche, 74, longtime Seminole area resident, passed from this life on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Billie was born on November 13, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma to James Jones, Sr. and Cora (Miller) Jones. She was a homemaker and took good care of her family and loved being with them. She graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1959. She was a member of the Middle Creek # 2 Baptist Church, near Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was a member of the WMU, Native Praise Choir. She loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and going to garage sales. She married George Harjoche on October 9, 1956 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and this October marked their 60th year of being married. She is survived by her husband George Harjoche of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, three daughters Dawn Harjoche of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Kimberly Harjoche of Seminole, Oklahoma and Amy Harjoche of Tuscan, Arizona, one brother James L. Jones of Shawnee, Oklahoma, two sisters Rose Wilson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Georgia Little Axe and her husband Danny of Little Axe, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Frankie Harjoche and a brother George Jones. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Middle Creek # 2 Baptist Church, with Wayne Harjo officiating. Burial will take place at the Harjoche Family Cemetery, South of Seminole, Oklahoma. There will be wake services held on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the Middle Creek # 2 Baptist Church, starting at 7:00 P.M. There will be a visitation and wake service, Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Casket bearers will be Rusty Powell, Stanley Wilson, Cody Chavez, Rick Little Axe, Danny Little Axe, Jr., Ronnie Little Axe, James Jimboy, Justin Clark. Honorary will be Edwin Jimboy, Danny Little Axe, Sr., James Jones, Jr. Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole is in charge of funeral arrangements.
