Shawnee resident, Beatrice Talton, passed away, Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at her home.
Beatrice, the daughter of Harry and Fannie Mae (Gaulding) Talton, was born, October 30, 1946, in Tecumseh. She grew up in the Earlsboro area, specifically the community formerly known as Hotulka. Beatrice was a home maker and a care giver, as well as a hair stylist. Beatrice met the love of her life, Donnie Hardeman, she and Donnie spent over 30 years together. She was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church in Earlsboro, where she was ministered to by Rev. Woodfaulk. Beatrice had many things in life that she enjoyed; she enjoyed fishing, cooking, doing hair and playing bingo, and she enjoyed joy riding, but nothing was as important to her as joy riding with her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving companion, Donnie Hardeman, of New Lima; her parents, Harry and Fannie Mae Talton, of Earlsboro; a brother, Joe Cephus Brannon, of Spencer; sisters, Betty Lou Bennett of Oklahoma City, Ella Ruth Black, of Oklahoma City, Verlene T Brannon, of Shawnee, and Elenor Talton, Talton of Earlsboro; a son, Donald Lorenzo Talton, of Earlsboro; a grandson, Mikkell DeShawn Talton, of Earlsboro; a granddaughter, Michelle Marie Talton, of Norman; and a granddaughter-in-law, Rose Stanfield of Michigan.
Beatrice is survived by a son, Byron Talton, of Earlsboro; a daughter, Hattie Talton, of Oklahoma City; a daughter-in-law, Francis Williams Talton; granddaughters, Yvette Talton-Ring, Mikrisha Talton-Lewis, Makayla Johnson, Lindelle Kessenger, Ceceila Murray, Maria Limones, Alexis Talton, and Shawnetta Talton; a grandson, Norman Daniels Jr.; grandsons-in-law, Johnathan Ring, William Lewis, Eric Stanfield Sr., Shelby Murray Sr., and Jason Eaton; great grandchildren, Takeo Currie-Bishop, Chrishelle Milum, Princeston Ring, Uriel Ring, Thailand Braggs, Paisley Kessenger, Presley Kessenger, Penelope Eaton, Skyler Murray, Shelby Murray Jr., William Murray, Sophia Limones, Zavier Huntley, and Eric Stanfield Jr.; brother, Tony Talton, of Earlsboro; and a sister, Mildred Conway of Midwest City; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Beatrice will be remembered in a viewing, Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole. Cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
