Longtime Seminole resident Beatrice Ann Plummer passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009 in Bedford, Texas surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren. She was born August 19, 1915 at Hulbert, Oklahoma to Frankie Beatrice Groover and Arthur Walter Haskew. She was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1933. Singing was her passion and she sang the lead in various school operettas such as HMS Pingfore. She met TJ Plummer her senior year and they were married June 27, 1934 and remained so until his passing in December of 1999. They raised two daughters, Carol Ann Plummer Prokop and Mary Jane Plummer. They both reside in Pharr, Texas. During the nearly fifty-year residency in Seminole, they owned Power Transmission and Equipment Company in Seminole, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City. She was very active in the First Christian Church, Republican Women's Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Garden Club and Bridge Clubs.Her daughters, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter survive her.
