Beatrice D. (Guinn) Haas, age 89 and a longtime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. David Sutton and Rev. Quinton Kay will officiate. Burial will follow at Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kirk Etheridge, Scott Haas, Randy Haas, Jake Kay, Ron Kinnamon, and George Wallace. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Davis, Jim Stockton, Ernest Stuckey, and Mace Perry. Bea was born April 21, 1926 in Konawa to Rev. E.J. Guinn and Lee (Oxley) Guinn. She graduated from Shawnee High School, and married George E. Haas on October 26, 1945 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was a member of the N.E. Free Will Baptist Church of Shawnee. She loved gardening, knitting, crocheting, writing poetry, and serving in her church. Bea was also a skilled seamstress. She enjoyed serving on the Asher precinct election board, and she served as clerk for the First Oklahoma Association of Free Will Baptist for a number of years. She also worked at Sears and at Kress stores. Bea loved hummingbirds and owls, but most of all, she was a mighty prayer warrior. She is survived by one son, Harold Haas and wife, Connie Lou of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Connie Lee (Haas) Kay and husband, Quinton of Konawa, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law, Mace Perry of Del City, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law, Mary (Haas) McCuistion of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, Nancy (Schultz) Haas of Garland, Texas, and June Haas of Waldron, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Scott Haas and wife, Amy, Randy Haas and wife, Melissa, Toni Kay Davis and husband, Kevin, Jami Kay, and Jake Kay; thirteen great grandchildren, Sydney, Emily, Andrew, Ryan, Meredith, Nathan, Joshua, MacKenzie, Makayla, Ben, Josh, Timothy, and Payton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. E.J. Guinn and Lee (Oxley) Guinn; her husband, George E. Haas; four sisters, Beulah (Guinn) Kinnamon, Vesta (Guinn) Sparks, and Wanda (Guinn) Sangster, and Earlene (Guinn) Perry.
