Barbara Trimble

Barbara Ann (Brinlee) Trimble Barbara was escorted into Heaven by God’s Angels assigned to take her on March 8, 2011. She was ushered through the gates to meet Jesus whom she loved and trusted with all her heart since she was eleven years old. She will also join her husband, Troy Wayne Trimble, her mother, Bertie Hensley, her dad, Charlie Brinlee, her brother, Charles Edward Brinlee, her step-dad, Bill Hensley, great grandchild, William Ronelle Tate and many friends and family who have preceded her in death. Barbara was born  to Charlie and Bertie (Thompson) Brinlee on December 29, 1936 in Konawa, Oklahoma. She was a member for many years of the First Baptist Church of Nicoma Park. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1955 and attended OBU in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She married her high school sweetheart Troy Trimble on July 27, 1956. They had 12 years together before Troy was killed in a truck accident on February 11, 1968. From this marriage there were two children born, Mark Wayne and Patricia Ann. Barbara is survived by her son, Mark and his wife Molly Trimble of Seminole, Oklahoma. Grandchildren, Cristal Gail Leetka and her husband William Jonah, great grandchildren, Timothy Trey, Cameron H. and Gage Noah Leetka, granddaughter, Tiffany Dawn and her husband Matthew Kyle Tate all of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Daughter Patricia and her husband Jeff Christiansen and grandson Troy Richard Christiansen all of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and granddaughter Sara Lynn and her husband Korey Whitt of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Barbara’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love and joy of her life. She was also blessed with three adopted sons Bruce Fowler, Eddie Tiger and Earl Wheat. Over the years Barbara worked for the State Election Board, the State Senate and the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma before she had to retire because of health problems. Funeral service for Barbara will be held 2:00 p.m. March 12, 2011at the First Baptist Church of Seminole, located at 420 Reid Street, Seminole, Oklahoma, with Dr. Mark Walters officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest beside her husband, Troy at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Seminole, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers are Timothy Leetka, Willie Leetka, Matt Tate, Bruce Fowler, Eddie Tiger and Nick Nadeau. Honorary Bearers are Cameron Leetka and Earl Wheat.
