Barbara Alice Ross

Barbara Alice Ross, Earlsboro resident, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 75. Barbara was born on January 26, 1949 in Martinez, CA to William Reid and Joy (Eglin) Reid. 

Barbara was a loving and caring person and was beautiful inside and out. She was artistic and creative and even wrote a book. She enjoyed watching TV including old war movies, sci-fi (especially Star Trek), Hallmark, History and DIY programs. Everyone who knew Barbara loved her and she will be greatly missed.

Barbara is survived by her two sons, Gary Burgess and wife, Kristy and Roy Burgess III and wife, Carmelita “Terrie”; two daughters, Bonnie Moore and Heather Welch; one brother, William Reid; one sister, Linda Ormond and husband Tom; 16 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Joy Reid; father and step mother, Bill and Helen Reid and sister, Gayle Reid. 

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
