Barbara Ann Murray, 65, Edmond, Oklahoma resident, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2019, in Edmond. Barbara was born on October 27, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Melvin Kerr and Donna Gene (Paulk) Kerr. Barbara grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and attended U. S. Grant Public Schools and graduated from U. S. Grant High School in in 1971. Barbara was a homemaker and very good mother. She loved arts and crafts, loved to cook, she loved to talk and never met a stranger, loved her dog ,Sam, music and traveling. She was a big Oklahoma City Thunder basketball fan and when asked how many Thunder T-Shirts she had, her answer was always “5”. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Misty Mann and her husband, Ralph of Guthrie, Oklahoma, her brothers; Randy Kerr and his wife, Sandy of Maud, Oklahoma and Melton Kerr and his wife Patty of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her father Melvin Kerr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Butch Bradley, Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery, west of Maud, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Randy Kerr, Jr., Chris Sparks, Ralph Mann, Rickey Medcalf and Mickey Medcalf. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
