Long time Seminole resident Barbara Ann Graves Lucas (Bobbye) passed away at her home in Seminole on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the age of 66. Bobbye is predeceased by her mother & father, Maxine & SJ Graves, and her sister, Sharon Graves. Bobbye is lovingly remembered by two children, her son, Bryan Lucas of Seminole, & daughter, Casey Lucas of Del City, two granddaughters, Jordan & Baylee Lucas, both of Seminole. Her sister, Pam Villines of Muskogee, two nieces Julie Villines & Shelly Leeds, & one nephew, Mike Villines. Tracy Lucas also survives her of Seminole. Bobbye was born in Seminole on August 19, 1946. She graduated from Bowlegs. She was a homemaker, raising her children and also worked at the United Methodist Day Care Center in Seminole. She was the only babysitter her granddaughters ever knew. Bobbye’s primary focus in life was her family and friends. Her love, compassion and concern for her family and friends were her priority and was evident up until the day she passed. She enjoyed sports and watching OU football, Women’s Basketball and the OKC Thunder. But her primary love was watching her granddaughters activities. Pallbearers are Mike Villines, Matt McReynolds, Dewey Lee, Aaron Carpenter, Chuck Nance & David Conger Honorary Pallbearers are James Vanlandingham, Allen Lee, David Graves, & Eugene Lee. A special thank you goes out to the following people: Ruth Carpenter and Carolyn Nance for the care and compassion they showed during Bobbye’s illness and Jeanie Simpson who was Bobbye’s doctor. Visitation will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.. A graveside service will be held at Little Cemetery on Friday, May 3 at 10:30 am.
