Barbara Barlow

Barbara Ann (Siler) Barlow, 81 year old, lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life on November 12, 2014 at Seminole Estates Care Center in Seminole.  She was born December 5, 1932 in Seminole to parents, Cecil Roy Siler and Ethel Mae (Turner) Siler. Barbara graduated from Wolf, Oklahoma High School as the Valedictorian in 1950.  She is also a long time member of the Wolf Free Will Baptist Church. Barbara had worked for many years as a caregiver.  She had helped at both Seminole and Wewoka Public Schools.  She was also a homemaker. On October 31, 1950 she married J.B. Barlow in Cromwell, Oklahoma.  Sadly he preceded her in death in 1975. She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Doyle Barlow and Gary Barlow both of Seminole, Oklahoma.  One brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Lois Siler of Wolf, Oklahoma.  One sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Isaacs of Konawa, Oklahoma. Three grandchildren, Kyle, Johnnie and Nicole.  Barbara is also survived by great-grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by two brothers, Weldon Siler and Larry Siler. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, November14, 2014 at the Wolf Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Wood officiating the service.  Interment will follow at the Wolf Cemetery. The family will gather for a lunch at Noon on Friday at the Wolf Free Will Baptist Church. Casket Bearers will be: Michael Isaacs, Kenneth Self, Jared Self, Mickey Knight, Gregg Cook and Eric Sinor. Honorary Bearers will be: Martin Siler, Gage Underwood and Eddie Rosson. Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
