Alvin W. "A.W." "Jack" Chesser, 88 year old longtime Seminole County resident passed from this life on Sunday, July 22, 2007 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born July 28, 1918 in Seminole County to parents Homer Earl Chesser and Effie (Castor) Chesser.rnrnJack married Reba Erselle Downs on October 19, 1938 in Red Mound, Oklahoma she preceded him in death July 16, 1995. He had worked for Phillips Petroleum in Shidler, Oklahoma as a Unit Forman, until his retirement in 1980. After his retirement he returned to his home in Seminole County. He then married Kathryn Patricia (Ryon) on December 30, 1995 in Seminole County, Oklahoma.rnrnJack is a member of the Church of Christ at Little, Oklahoma.rnrnSurvivors include his wife, Kathryn Chesser of the home.rnrnFour sons and daughters-in-laws: Keith & Judy Chesser of Shidler, Oklahoma, Jim & Cameran Chesser of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Tom & Debbie Chesser of Holdenville, Oklahoma and Don & June Chesser of Holdenville, Oklahoma.rnrnOne daughter and son-in-law, Carole & Charlie Lichti of Huntsville, Arkansas.rnrnOne brother and sister-in-law, Dempsey & Arzena Chesser of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnSisters-in-law from his first marriage, Lovonia and her husband Clarenc McGehee of Borger, Texas and Wanda Downs Otto of Pryor, Oklahoma.rnrnTen grandchildren: Bryon Chesser of Fort Worth, Texas; Sheila Bagwell of Moore, Oklahoma; Jimmy Chesser of Pryor, Oklahoma; Courtney Hale of Atlanta, Georgia; Kerri Williams of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Michael Lichti of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Clayton Chesser of Dallas, Texas; Brandon Montebello of Holdenville, Oklahoma; Donnell Marcel of Seminole, Oklahoma; and Donny Chesser of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.rnrn17 great grandchildren.rnrnOne great great grandchild.rnrnAnd a host of other family and dear friends.rnrnCasket Bearers will be: Keith Chesser, Jim Chesser, Tom Chesser, Don Chesser, Jimmy Chesser and Bryon Chesser.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in the Church of Christ at Little, Oklahoma.
