Avery Conway

April 21, 1945 — June 7, 2010

Avery Etta (Taylor) Conway, 65 year-old, lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life Monday, June 7, 2010 at her home in Seminole.  She was born April 21, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Avery graduated from Seminole High School and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.  She married Alonzo Conway in Seminole, Oklahoma. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Alonzo Conway of the home; three sons, Ken Berry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, James Berry and Leslie Berry both of Seminole, Oklahoma; two daughters, Mable Berry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Elisha Berry of Wewoka, Oklahoma; three brothers, Lawrence Carter and Charles Carter both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ray Anthony Bruner and his wife Mary of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Frances Thompson and her husband Willie of Richmond, Virginia and Shirley DeLoach and her husband Herschel of St. Petersburg, Florida; eleven grandchildren, Nicosia, Dominique, Jausha, Trevel, Armani, Lakyn, Langley, Emersyn, Ken, Justin, Dejour; four great-grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends. Avery was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Galilee Baptist Church located at 308 W. Russell Street in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Rev. Larry Payne will officiate the service.  Interment will follow at Turkey Creek Cemetery located two miles west of Little, Oklahoma.
