Audrey Eulene Roberts

Audrey Eulene (Fowler) Roberts, 98, died Monday, December 31, 2012 in Wolf, Oklahoma. She was born January 19, 1914 in Fayette County, Alabama, Audrey was one of seven children born to Arrabelle Francis (Lucas) and Daniel Moody Fowler. She moved to Seminole County in 1917 where she lived for 96 years. Audrey graduated from Wolf High School in 1932. She married Roy Arvle Roberts on August 24, 1935 in Ada, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1998. Audrey was a homemaker and also was a cook at the Wolf School Cafeteria. She was the historian for the Wolf Alumni Association until her death. She kept all the records and would give reports at the annual alumni banquet. She worked with the Seminole County Election board for many years, member of the Wolf Home Demonstration Club, and was longtime Secretary/Treasurer for the Wolf Security Patrol. She attended Wolf Freewill Baptist Church and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Wolf, Oklahoma, before it merged with the Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Roberts is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law; Lendell and Roberta Roberts of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Freelin and Doris Roberts of Alva, Oklahoma; Her grandchildren Debra Lynn Goodwin and her husband Klay, Kimberly Denise Nahom and her husband Dave, Barry T. Roberts and his wife Leslie, Kenneth Andrew Roberts, and Kellie Andrea Roberts; her great grandchildren Jordan Snyder, Jesse Snyder, Hailey Bell, Mason Roberts, Casey Roberts, Katerine Nahom and Samantha Nahom. Many nieces and nephews also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Roberts, and siblings, Burvle Fowler, John Fowler, M.D. Fowler, Minnie Dollen, Margie Elliott and Woodrow Fowler. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Cemetery. Her Grandchildren will be casket bearers at the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
