Aubry Sherman Bryce, Sr., age 82 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at his home. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30th, at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Konawa. Burial will follow at Blackburn Chapel in Bethel, Oklahoma. Aubry was born on February 2, 1928, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Goldie (Lawson) and Sherman Wesley Bryce. He married LaDonna (Jones) on September 25, 1997, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Aubry was retired from the military, and he worked as a welder for Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. He was a member of the VFW and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Konawa. He is survived by his wife, LaDonna (Jones) Bryce of the home; three sons, Aubry Bryce, Jr. and wife, Karen of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Bruce Bryce and wife, Lisa of El Reno, Oklahoma, and Shane Hester and wife, Megan of Konawa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Tina McGinnis and husband, Jerry of Shawnee; two brothers, Alfred Bryce and wife, Adrian of Shawnee, and Bobby Bryce of North Carolina; three sisters, Virginia Hopkins of Shawnee, Velma Barrett and husband Carl of McLoud, Oklahoma, and Zelma Cox of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; three brothers-in-law, Johnny Jones of St. Louis, Oklahoma, Michael Jones and wife, Shelly of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, and Eric Jones and wife Tiffany of St. Louis; 7 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 5 step great grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Goldie Bryce; eight brothers, and his first wife, Dorothy Bryce.
