Arvel Lee Snow, III age forty-two and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22nd at Vamoosa Baptist Church under the direction Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Duck will officiate. Pallbearers are Guy Garner, Curtis Radford, Tim Snow, Kevin Grant, Tanis Gonzalez, and James Shaw. Arvel was born on May 12, 1969 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Arvel Snow, Jr. and Frances (Barber) Snow. He spent most of his life in Konawa and was a graduate of Konawa High School. Arvel worked as a Roughneck in the Oilfield Industry and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Konawa. He loved basketball, softball, sports, and fishing. He is survived by his mother, Frances Snow of Konawa; two sons, Dillon Snow and Zachery Snow of Konawa; three daughters, Misty McClain, Natalie McClain, and Kassandra McClain, all of Konawa; one brother, Timothy Snow of Konawa; and five grandchildren.
