Arthur William Parker

Arthur William Parker, age 75 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Jan Frances Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma. No memorial service is planned at this time, and cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Arthur was born on October 26, 1937 in Conway Michigan to Arthur Carl Parker and Florence Irene (Tucker) Parker.    He married Beverly Gay Lawton on July 17, 1982 in Austin, Texas.  Arthur retired as a career airplane mechanic and Tech-sergeant for the United States Air Force. His military career lasted from 1961 until retirement in 1978. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Gay (Lawton) Parker of the home; two brothers, Ralph Parker and David Parker; one sister, Linda Miller; and one step-sister, Barbara Honeycutt of Konawa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Florence Parker and by his step-mother, Ethel Parker. Funeral Information: August 30, 2013, 8:00 AM No memorial service is planned at this time.
