Armand Dustin Colvin, Seminole resident, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 97.  Armand was born on January 9, 1924, in Magnolia, Arkansas, to LeRoy Vincent and Theressa (Johnston) Colvin.  As a young man who was declined the opportunity to serve his country in the military he worked in the ship yards repairing ships to return to battle during WWII. He received an honorary American Legion award for his service at the ship yards in Richmond, California. He also worked as a builder over the years helping to build the football field and hospital in Seminole and many homes in the area.  Armand spent time working in the oilfield and also as a truck driver for a commercial brick company delivering brick.

Armand married Doris Maxine Bounds on July 28, 1950, who preceded him in death on March 13, 2003.

Armand was a helper by nature and would do anything he could to help others.  He also had a great sense of humor and was known to be a clown. His treasured silliness would draw people to him.   Armand was known to make funny faces at babies and was always ready to make others laugh.  He wasn’t fond of disciplining but taught his daughters through humor.  It is said he was the best daddy one could ever have.  He taught his daughters necessary skills of maintaining their vehicles when they became drivers as well as many other important life skills.
