Arlene (Amos) Renner

March 18, 1945 — October 4, 2021

Oklahoma City

Arlene Renner of Butner, Oklahoma, died and went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 4th, 2021.  Arlene was born on March 18th, 1945, to Earl and Merle Amos.  Arlene married the love of her life Jerald Duane Renner Sr., on March 14th, 1964.  They met on a blind date where it was love at first sight, and they were married soon after.  You could always spot them together proudly wearing one of their many sets of matching shirts. Arlene worked at the Bowlegs School and made it her life mission to provide a loving and happy home to her beloved family.  Arlene loved to go to church and learn about the Lord. She was an amazing cook and immaculate housekeeper, an incredible hostess who welcomed everyone and never let anyone leave hungry. She loved to tend her beautiful gardens and was born with a green thumb, but most of all, she loved spending time with her husband and family.  She loved to play with her grandchildren, watch Texas Rangers baseball (she knew every player’s stats) and travel on their Goldwing motorcycle with her husband, Jerry.  Her many names on this earth included Darlin, Momma, Gramses, and Aunt Arlene.

Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband and soulmate in 2017,  Jerald Duane Renner Sr.; parents, Earl and Merle Amos; two sisters,  Elsie Carmical and Helen Florer; two sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Burleson and Norma Kiker; five brothers-in-law, Johnnie Box, Mike Carmical, Herb Florer, Bill Burleson, and Pat Renner.  She is survived by her children Jerry & Lani Renner of Seminole, OK, Terri & Charles Neal of Oklahoma City, OK, and Traci Renner and Joby of Wewoka, OK; one sister, Ruth Box; two brothers,  Gerald Amos and Nelson Amos; one brother-in-law, Stan Kiker; two sisters-in-law, Connie Amos and, Faye Amos; ten grandchildren, Cheyenne Renner, Sahara Renner, Amber Davis, Jerod Lofton, Andrew Lofton, Jonathon Lofton, Kaley Presgrove, Ryan Neal, Shelbi Lofton and Skylar Lofton; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Although there was an amazing reunion in heaven on the day she passed, she will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her here on earth.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Stroud Cemetery, with Arpoika Daniels officiating.
