Ara Belle (East) Hobbs, 95 year old Seminole resident passed from this life on November 11, 2006 at Unity Health Center North, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born May 27, 1911 in Oakman, Oklahoma (near Ada, Oklahoma), to parents, Ocie Ola East and Callie Elizabeth (Fox) East.rnrnAra graduated from Stonewall High School. She married Leonard M. Hobbs in 1934 in Ada, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death on June 20, 1975.rnrnMrs. Hobbs had attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Seminole and had also taught a paint class at the Heritage House in Seminole.rnrnAra leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Lula Keeling of Ada, Oklahoma and Elva Jo Kraeer of McLoud, Oklahoma and a number of nieces and nephews.rnrnMrs. Hobbs is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Others preceding her in death include, three brothers, Travis, Lonnie and George East; and two sisters, Lela Morrison and Jonnie Mae Little.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Rev. Gary Pollard will officiate.
