Anthony Harold Anderson, 48 year old Yukon, Oklahoma resident, passed away March 24, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born August 1, 1971 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Tony graduated from Life Christian School in 1989. He married Mechelle Cline on November 4, 1989 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma. Tony joined the U.S. Navy in 1990. He went to boot camp in Great Lakes, Illinois and graduated. He went to Operation Specialists School in Dam Neck, Virginia. He and Mechelle were stationed in Charleston, South Carolina where he served on the USS Jesse L. Brown FF-1089 from 1990-1995. Tony was an Operation Specialist 2nd Class Petty Officer. They moved to Oklahoma in 1995 where Tony was an account executive at Lifeline/Amerivision and he worked there until 2006. In 2018, Tony began his employment at Tinker Air Force Base as an Engine Specialist (GS7) and worked there until his death. Tony enjoyed spending time with his kids, going to the movies and hunting. He was a member of the NRA. He was a good, hard working man who loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Tony is survived by his wife Mechelle of the home, children; Brittany Anderson of Oklahoma City, Nathan, Gabrielle and Jonathan Anderson of Yukon, Oklahoma, his father; H.H. Anderson, his mother; Paula Thurman, his step father; Leon Thurman, his brother; Tracey Anderson and his wife Tammy of Mustang, Oklahoma, his sisters; Jennifer Cherry and her husband Billy of Del City, Oklahoma and Melinda Leach and her husband Jason of NW Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Tom and Pauline Calvert of Maud, Oklahoma, his uncle; Tom Calvert, Jr., his aunt Susan Bacon and his cousin Brian Bacon. Tony’s funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, 1001 N. Milt Phillips Avenue in Seminole, Oklahoma. Glen Williams will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Tracey Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Joshua Cherry, Johnny Cline, Chevy Cline and Shannon Akins.
