Annie "Lorene" (Kettler) Malone

Annie "Lorene" (Kettler) Malone , age 93 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma, passed away February 12, 2023 at her home under Loving Care Hospice.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Kettler and Malone Family Cemetery in Asher under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.

Lorene was born May 11, 1929 in Slaton, Texas to Walter Kettler and Ann (Edwards) Kettler.  She graduated from Slaton High School, and she married Weldon Eugene Malone on May 24, 1947 in Slaton.  She worked as the director and sight manager of the senior service project in Asher, Oklahoma.  Lorene loved picking up pecans, crocheting, working puzzles, and working outdoors.  She was also known as a prayer warrior.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas Malone and wife, Karen of Amarillo, Texas, and Ronald Malone and wife, Carrie of Asher; three daughters, Barbara Roberts of Weatherford, Texas, Sue England and husband, Bill of Virginia, and Cheryl Lewis of Weatherford; one brother, Carl Kettler and wife, Sandra of Amarillo; ten grandchildren, Keitha Wilson, Tina Roberts, Barbara K. Roberts, Alex Roberts, Caleb Malone, Michael Malone, Patrick Griffin, Andrew Griffin, Samantha Malone, and Russell Malone; fifteen great grandchildren, Lyra Asher, Chasity Warren, Destiny Self, Morgan Malone, Claira Malone, Alex Silva, Ella Young, Isabella Griffin, Elliott Griffin, Aarav Griffin, Shreya Griffin, Harmony Malone, Madison Malone, Angel Brindlee, and Vailee Wilson; and three great-great grandchild, Rozaline Warren, Jaden Brindlee, and Cody Brindlee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Weldon Malone; one sister, Sharron Bailey; two brothers, Donald Kettler, and Charles Kettler; one grandson, Nicholas Malone; and one great granddaughter, Sadie Malone.
