Anna McBroom

Anna Marie McBroom, 55 year old Maud, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at her home in Maud.  She was born July 16, 1958 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to parents Charles Williams and Dollie Jane (Johnson) Williams. Anna married Vernon McBroom on June 10, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Anna moved to Pottawatomie County 24 years ago from Crescent, Oklahoma.  She was also of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 13 years Vernon McBroom of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Nathan Smith and his wife Samantha of Bono, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Desiree Bates and her husband Michael of Maud, Oklahoma; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Chellie’ Martin and her husband Brian of Richmond, Virginia; four brothers, Gene Williams and his wife Nancy of Crescent, Oklahoma, Wesley Williams and his wife Pam of Missouri, Howard Williams of Virginia, Stanley Williams of Oklahoma; one sister, Crystal Hermanson and her husband Wayne of Missouri; four grandchildren, Venus Bates, Damion Bates, Isis Whitewater and Katherine Meyer; she is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. Anna is preceded in death by her mother, Dollie Cummings and by her father, Charles Williams. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Maud First Baptist Church on Hwy. 9A north.  Rev. Bobby Shatto will officiate the service.  Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery where she will be laid to rest near her family the Rodds and the Curleys. Casket Bearers will be: Michael Bates, Nathan Smith, Jeremiah Williams, Brian Jones, Curtis Wilburn and Charlie Williams.
