Angela Lynn (Harjo) Spencer

Angela Lynn (Harjo) Spencer, age 45 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2nd at Middle Creek Baptist Church #2 of Holdenville under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  George Harjochee and David Harjo and LeRoy King will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Emarthle Family Cemetery in Konawa.  Pallbearers are Bill Foster, George Franks, Jeremy Alberson, Michael Hudson, Travis Harjo, and Nelvin Hudson.  Honorary Pallbearers are David Lankford, Tyler Harjo, Jimpsey Factor, Ryan Cloud, and Jared Johnson.   A wake service is also scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Monday night, April 1st at the church. Angela was born on July 31, 1967 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Ema Harjo.  She married Maurice Spencer on December 5, 2003 in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Angela worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for the New Horizon Nursing Home in Konawa.  She was a member of the Middle Creek Baptist #2 and loved cooking for her family.  She also loved reading, playing board games, and being with her nephew and nieces. She is survived by her husband, Maurice Spencer and one son, Nicholas Paulson, both of the home; her mother, Ema Harjo of Konawa; two brothers, David Harjo of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Marcus Harjo of Konawa; and one sister, Cindy Hudson of Seminole. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Wisey Emarthle.
