Angela J. Burton

Angela Jewell (Fritts) Burton, 39 year old Seminole Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Chickasaw Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.  She was born February 21, 1977 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to parents Daniel Ray Fritts and Barbara “Sue” (Anderson) Waggoner. Angela grew up in Sulphur, Oklahoma with her mom and sister.  As a young girl she had excepted the Lord as her savior.  She liked to go skating, to rodeos, bowling, playing pool, riding horses, tap dancing, laughing and joking with family and friends.  Angela was a member of the Rainbow’s as a young lady, she was also a part of a Jazz tap dance group, 4H Club, F.F.A., F.H.A., Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Kappa Delta and was listed in the “Who’s Who" 2010 edition.   Following High School Angela went on to earn her Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Seminole State College in Seminole, Oklahoma and then on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.  In 1994 Angela rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized along with her mother and sister at the Indian Mission Church in Harrah, Oklahoma. On December 2, 1995 Angela married Thomas A. Burton in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Angela was a homemaker and college student.  As an adult Angela loved spending time with her family friends and furthering her education.  Angela would have soon earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Devry University out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Burton of the home; father, Danny Fritts of Shawnee, Oklahoma; her mother, Sue Waggoner and her husband Mike of Little, Oklahoma; two sons, Bailey Burton of the home and Brandon Burton of the home; one sister, Thea of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Angela was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jewell Darlene Garroutte. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with James Williams officiating the service.
