Andrew McBroom

Andrew Lynn McBroom, 19 year-old, former Bowlegs resident passed from this life Tuesday, December 7, 2010.  He died following an automobile accident that also took the life of his brother, Joshua McBroom and his cousin, Leah Dawn Hanson near Asher in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.  He was born March 26, 1991 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents Ellen Marie (Dorrough) McBroom and Terry Joe McBroom. Andrew graduated from Bowlegs High School in 2010 and was currently working for O’Dell Farms in Asher, Oklahoma. Survivors include his mother, Ellen (Dorrough) McBroom of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; two sisters, Summer and Stormie Davis of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; maternal grandfather, Jake Dorrough of Wolf, Oklahoma; paternal grandfather, Isaac McBroom of Shawnee, Oklahoma; several aunts, uncles and a host of other family and dear friends. His father, Terry Joe McBroom, precedes Andrew in death. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Bowlegs High School Gymnasium.  Interment will follow at Vista Cemetery located west of Konawa on Hwy. 39.  Rev. Harold Turner will officiate the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
