Alvin "Al" Lee Rhodes

Alvin “Al” Lee Rhodes, Seminole resident, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in Moore, OK, at the age of 84.  Al was born on October 1, 1939 in Merced, CA to Dennis Flynn and Alma Jane (Herring) Rhodes.

Al worked most of his life in construction, operating heavy equipment and working at Shawnee Asphalt.  Al retired from Seminole County, where he ran a motor grader for several years.   He had a love for horses and riding in play days.  At one time, he was the president of Prague Roundup Club and Oklahoma State Roundup Club Association.

Al was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Rhodes; two sisters, Betty Bernice Ward and Darline Latulippe; two brothers, Cletis Rhodes and Leo Rhodes and two daughters, Cynthia Brittian and Deborah Littleton.

Al is survived by one son, Randy Rhodes and wife, Martha of Shawnee, OK; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren including one set of twins; one brother, Arlie Rhodes of Modesto, CA and many other family and friends.

There will be a family graveside service at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
