Stanley Alvin Gregory , 68, lifelong Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Alvin was born May 1, 1950 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Robert Lee Gregory Sr. and Cordelia Wanatha (Mathes) Gregory-Blain. Alvin was a graduate of Maud High School and was a School Board member for Maud Public Schools, where he served as president of the board and was very active in the Maud community. After graduation from high school, Alvin went to work in the Auto Parts Industry working at Troxell Auto Parts store in Seminole for many years , where he eventually was promoted to manager, and later purchased the NAPA store and changed the name to Gregory Auto Parts. He loved running the business and interacting with the people of Seminole and surrounding areas. Following a downturn in the economy, Alvin closed the store, but continued his work in the Auto Parts field. He worked for several different companies, where he won many awards as District Sales Manager. He even got his two oldest grandsons involved in moving and completing stores and they enjoyed the benefits of working hard for their Papa. Alvin was a member, of the Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma, former Maud School Board member, member of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce, Reserve Police Officer. Alvin loved his family, loved going to the lake, boating and fishing. He also enjoyed hosting large family gatherings where he made sure there was always plenty of food and lots of laughter. Alvin was preceded in death by his grandson Gage Wood, his mother Cordelia Blain, father, Robert Lee Gregory, Sr., his brother Robert Lee Gregory, Jr., grandfather, Herbert Alvin Mathes and grandmother Clearinda Mathes. Alvin is survived by his wife Pam Gregory of the home. His son Stanley Gregory and his wife April of Maud, his daughter Carrie Brock and her husband Todd of Wewoka, Oklahoma; grandchildren; Colton Wood and his wife Hillary of Maud, Oklahoma, Jesse Ray “J.R.” Brock of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Ashley Gregory and Kyle Gregory of Maud, Oklahoma, great grandson; Zylan Wood of Maud, Oklahoma, brothers; William Anthony Gregory and his wife Charlotte of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, James Blain and his wife Verdonna of Shawnee, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Nita Gregory Mahan of Bethel, Oklahoma, step father, Raymond Blain of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, step-brother, Frank Blain and his wife Linda of Enid, Oklahoma, Step-sister, Debbie Blain of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many more loving family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Todd Brock, Randy Crawford, Randy Horn, Derick Robertson, Nathan Crawford and Cody England. Honorary Pallbearers are Ty Bullock and Steven Wood.  Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma with Glen Williams and Pastor Butch Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma.
