Alpha Louise Smith, Seminole, OK resident passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 in Seminole at the age of 96. Louise was born on April 3, 1929 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to William Peyton and Maryfloy Ann (Smyth) Drewry. She grew up in Seminole County and Grady County. Most of her life she lived in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. Louise has called Seminole County home for the last 50 years. She was a 1947 Butner High School graduate. Louise married Raymond Smith on November 11, 1948 in Cromwell, OK.

Louise was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, baking, candy making and bingo. She enjoyed watching and playing basketball. She volunteered with the Pink Ladies.

Louise is survived by her sons, Wayne Smith of Choctaw, OK and Tyler Sharber of Midland, TX; sister, Lorene Chandler of Seminole, OK; seven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Smith; daughter, Peggy Posey; granddaughter, Alexis Sharber and eight siblings.

A memorial service will be held on 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK. Cremation burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, OK. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Ho me in Seminole, OK.
