Alma Cooley

Alma (Norman) Carter Cooley, 88 year-old, former Seminole County resident passed from this life Saturday, January 15, 2011 at her home in Oregon City, Oregon.  She was born November 19, 1922 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents R.T. Norman and Jessie Alma (Nalley) Norman. Alma is survived by her three loving daughters, Karen Fresh of Oklahoma, Janyth Carter of Oregon and Susan Teel of Oregon; one brother C.T. Norman; two sisters, Florence Morrison and Willie Akers; seven grandchildren, Brandon Fresh, Tanner Teel, Scott Johnston, Dusty Johnston, Tim Johnston, Kelle Johnston Hale and Joe Johnston; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Alma is preceded in death by her husband Sidney W. Cooley and by one son Marvin Carl Johnston. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate the service. The family has requested that donations in memory of Alma Cooley be made to Oregon City Hospice, 1505 Division Street, Oregon City, Oregon 97045.
