Alice Kate (Kuestersteffen) “Kay” Harrison , age 78 and a longtime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away February 16, 2024 at her brother’s home in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and cremation will follow.
Kay was born February 28, 1945 in Sacred Heart, Oklahoma to Benedict Kuestersteffen and Catherine (Green) Kuestersteffen. She graduated from Konawa High School, and was the owner and operator of “Lucky 7" Café in Konawa. She married Bobby Ray Harrison September 23, 1980 in Ada, Oklahoma. Kay loved going to concerts, gardening, and watching her grandchildren play ball.
She is survived by one son, Carl Capps and wife, Sheila of Konawa; two daughters, Sheri McKeel and husband, Justin of Konawa, and Berneda Capps of Konawa; three brothers, Bobby Kuestersteffen of Missouri, Leo Kuestersteffen and wife, Debbie of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, and Tony Kuestersteffen and wife, Judy of Konawa; two sisters, Pat Shank of Moore, Oklahoma, and Ann Payne and husband, Gary of Sulphur, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Lyndsay, Courtney, Tanner, Will, Carli, and Cooper; six great grandchildren, Isaiah, Deaton, Jackson, Aubrey, Hayven Kate, and Jesse; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Bill Capps, Terry Groves, and Bob Harrison; one son, Billy Capps, three brothers, Jody, Chris, and Matthew; and one sister, Theresa.
