Alice LaVaughn Foster, 83 year-old long time Seminole County resident passed from this life Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born July 9, 1924 in Stratford, Oklahoma to parents Lawrence Clifford Pharr and Mary Ann (Scott) Pharr.rnrnAlice married "Gib" Foster, December 25, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death September 30, 2006. Alice was a homemaker and was always there to help give and take care of others. She was a member of the Seminole American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and she loved to travel and play bingo. She also loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.rnrnSurvivors include three daughters and sons-in-laws: Cyndy and Jim Easter of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Shirley Nelson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Pat and Melvin Johnson of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnOne sister, Wanda Gaylord Toothacker of Wichita, Kansas.rnrn13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and dear friends also survive her.rnrnShe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, "Gib" Foster two brothers: Roy Lee Pharr and James Pharr.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Buford Henshaw officiating.rnrnInterment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnCasket bearers will be: Gene Skagg, Robert Pierce, Justin Easter, Jim Easter, Jeff Easter and Darrell Strickland.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnIn lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in memory of Alice to the American Heart Association, P.O.
