Alberta Faye McGinnis, 77 Alberta Faye McGinnis long time Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 77. Alberta was born May 20, 1936 in Roff, Oklahoma to parents, Ted King and Anna Mae (Everett) King. Alberta moved to Seminole, Oklahoma on May 1, 1944 from Fitztown. She was a member of the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church. She owned and operated Alberta’s Unique Specialty where she was known for her abilities with floral and wedding arrangements. Alberta married Onyal Gene McGinnis on October 16, 1953 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Alberta is survived by husband, Gene McGinnis; 2 sons, Kent McGinnis of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Randy McGinnis and his wife Junel of McAlester, Oklahoma; one daughter, Cynthia Luce and her husband Jerry of Checotah, Oklahoma; one brother, Bob King of Ada, Oklahoma; two sisters, Roberta Hooton of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Linda Laxton of Bowlegs, Oklahoma. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Mesha Brewer, Shane McGinnis, Eric Cross, Stefanie Flud, Lauren Milton; great grandchildren, Aiden Cross, Paige Brewer, Elijah Brewer, Seth Flud, Kayson Flud and soon to be Piper Belle Milton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at Bowlegs Assembly of God Church, Bowlegs, Oklahoma with Rev. Rick Ham and Rev. Roy Robertson officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Eric Cross, Shane McGinnis, Jimmy Flud, Scott Milton, Austin Laxton and Terry McGinnis. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
