Seminole resident, Albert Darnell Burdine, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023, in Shawnee, at the age 70.
Albert, the son of Floyd Burdine and Mentora (Roberts) Burdine-Hood, was born February 21, 1953, in Seminole. He graduated from Seminole High School, with the class of 1971. He then attended Eastern State College in Wilburton. Albert proudly served in the US Navy. Albert was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed drawing, gardening, smoking his pipe, clothes shopping, and working on small engines.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Albert is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Cora of Tecumseh, Karlton and wife of Florida, and Gerrod, of Florida; a daughter, Bryony of Florida; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Faye, of Oklahoma City; sisters and brother-in-law, Verla Coleman and husband, of Oklahoma City, and Felecia Pledger, of Oklahoma City; special sister, Cassandra McNeely; special nephew, Donnie Burdine; and many other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Jackson Family Cemetery in Lima, Oklahoma, with his brother, Kevin Burdine officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
