Albert Leonard ?A.L.? ?Babe? Ivey, 72 year-old longtime Seminole County resident passed from this life, Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in Texarkana, Texas. He was born February 9, 1935 in Vamoosa, Oklahoma to parents Walter Kevin Ivey and Mary Elizabeth (Hunley) Ivey.rnrnMr. Ivey was raised in the Bowlegs, Vamoosa area and went on to serve in the United States Army. He married Clonia ?Faye? Batesel on February 18, 1956 in Purcell, Oklahoma. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma for 19 years then he worked for Red River Army Base in New Boston, Texas for 10 years until his retirement in 1990. He loved to build ?Stock Cars? and enjoyed racing in Ada, Oklahoma.rnrnSurvivors include his wife, Faye Ivey of the home; one son, Jeffery Ivey of DeKalb, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Teri E. Stanberry of Bonham, Texas and Cheri E. and her husband Randall Stanfill of Rogers, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, James H. and Sue Ivey of Konawa, Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth ?Betty? and ?Manny? Salcedo of Fairfield, California; four grandchildren, Sgt. Christopher Stanberry of Afghanistan, Jerimiah Stanfill of Rogers, Arkansas, Justa Henson of Rogers, Arkansas and Jessica Stanfill of Rogers, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Olivia Grace Lucas of Rogers, Arkansas and Preston Taylor Stanfill of Rogers, Arkansas. Also surviving is a host of other family and friends.rnrnMr. Ivey is preceded in death by his parents.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Heartland Family Church on Strothers Ave. in Seminole. Interment will follow at Thrace Cemetery in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. Rev.
