Agnes West

Agnes (Douglas) West, age 89 and long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville, Oklahoma.  Agnes was born on January 10, 1920, in Konawa to Alex and Jennie (Powell) Douglas.  She married Thomas West on July 1, 1937.  Agnes was a member of the Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church.  Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13th, at the Douglas Family Cemetery located at 13866 Hwy 9A (three miles north of Konawa) under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.  Ed George and George Harjochee will officiate.  Pallbearers are Jeremy Walker, Stacy McGrit, Patrick McGrit, Vincent Wise, Walter Wise, Jr., and Jacob Cully. She is survived by one son, Terry West; one brother, A.B. Douglas of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
