Agnes Marie Nero, 80, longtime Seminole resident died Saturday, July 30, 2011 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Agnes was born October 14, 1930 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Siah Brown and Lucy Tiger (Brown) Clark. Agnes lived in Seminole area most of her life, she did live in Ft.Worth, Texas from 1962-1976. She was a seamstress during her working career, working for Tony Lama and Williamson - Dickies in Ft. Worth, Texas. She also had worked for Oklahoma Clothing and Big Yank in Wewoka until 1976. She attended Chillocco Indian School in Northern Oklahoma and was a member of Cedar Creek Eufaula Indian Baptist Church. She married Dorsey Nero on April 22, 1952 at Achena Presbyterian Church in Maud, Oklahoma. Her husband, Rev. Dorsey Nero of Seminole, Oklahoma, survives her. A daughter LaDonna Nero Wadsworth and her husband Bernie of Euless, Texas also survive her; two sisters Rosetta Pebworth of Seminole, Oklahoma and Mickey Queton of Crowley, Texas also survive her. One grandson Lucchese “ Luke” Osceola Wadsworth also survives her along with a host of other family members and friends. Her parents, her brothers Amos Brown, Legus Clark, sisters Louise Jones, Elizabeth Jones and Christine B. Harjo, preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church on Wrangler Blvd. in Seminole, with burial at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole with Rev. Edwin Jimboy and Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. There will be a wake service at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Casket Bearers will be Wayne Pebworth, Shane Pebworth,Hayden Jones, Hilton Queton, Cliff Queton, Bill Satepauhoodle. Honorary Bearers will be Billy Merrell, Clifford Merrell, Marsey B. Harjo, Willie B. Harjo, Yogi B. Harjo. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
