Agatha Whitten-Blair, 85 year-old, former Seminole resident passed from this life on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Cedar Creek Nursing Home in Norman, Oklahoma. She was born December 15, 1926 in Foster, Oklahoma to parents Arthur Pickett and Stella (McConnell) Pickett. Following High School, Agatha worked in retail shoe sales. She was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband, Joseph G. Blair of the home; three sons, Craig Whitten of Norman, Oklahoma, Reggie Whitten of Edmond, Oklahoma and Kevin Whitten of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Armintha Blackwood of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Marcella Ratcliffe of Castro Valley, California; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; as well as a host of other family and dear friends. Agatha was preceded in death by her parents and by her first husband, Robert L. Whitten. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2012 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Mark Hensley officiating.
