Abler “Opie” Davis, 52 year old Earlsboro, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born January 28, 1965 in Talihina, Oklahoma to parents Tom Davis and Hattie Mae (Tiger) Davis. Opie was currently working for the Seminole, Oklahoma Housing Authority. He enjoyed watching wrestling, OU Sooners and working on old cars. He was a member of Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. Opie was also a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. Survivors include, one brother Charles Davis and his wife Kathy of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Cynthia Davis of Calvin, Oklahoma, Brenda Gentry and her husband John of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and dear friends. Opie was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Hattie Mae (Tiger) Davis. A wake service is scheduled Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Davis Family Cemetery in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. Leon Postoak and Robert Davis will officiate the service.
