Okmulgee resident, Kenneth Alan Wilburn, passed away March 6, 2024, in Tulsa, at the age of 74.
Ken, the son of Reu and Geri (Hulsey) Wilburn, was born August 26, 1949, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ken worked for many years in fast food management, ultimately managing the Burger King in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Ken was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee. He loved fishing, and he also enjoyed gardening and basically anything to get outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers, Gary Wilburn and Sammie Wilburn.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Tonya Barron, of Palestine, TX; two grandchildren, Dillan Broyles and Hollie Barron; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Mike Spivey; sister-in-law, Evelyn Wilburn; along with many other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 12, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee, with Pastor Jonathan Hanshaw officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Louisiana.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole Oklahoma.
