Irma Jean Stevens went to be with Jesus on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at her home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, at the age of 92. Irma was born on May 25, 1932 in Seminole County, Oklahoma to Earl Pryor and Annebell (Anthony) Pryor. She married the love of her life, Rev. Alvin Millard Stevens on April 4, 1947. She was proud to be a pastors wife for over 70 years and helped in pioneering many full gospel churches in Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, California and Idaho. Irma will be dearly missed.
Irma’s favorite saying was “You are never poor if you are a born again Christian, maybe broke but never poor.”
Irma was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Rev. Alvin Stevens; sons, Richard Stevens and Terry Stevens; son-in-law, Mike Thornbrugh; granddaughter, Irmajean Spencer; grandson, Shane Michael; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Irma is survived by her daughter, Nancy Thornbrugh Martinez and husband, Marty of Naples, ID; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Little Cemetery.
