Geneva Ann "Neva" (Isaacs) Rodgers

Geneva "Neva" Ann (Isaacs) Rodgers , age 88 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away January 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Drew Isaacs, Bill Isaacs, and Cliff Bass will officiate, and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Chris Scott, Cody Bass, Caleb Bass, Jacob Rodgers, Benjamin Ellis, and Douglas Isaacs.  Honorary bearers are Cliff Bass, Jerimy Ellis, Isaac Roberts, Joshua Roberts, and Craig Rodgers.  The family will receive guests Friday, February 3rd at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Neva was born April 1, 1934 in Konawa to Jesse Samuel Isaacs and Ida Belle (Brecheen) Isaacs.  She attended Konawa High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Konawa.  She married Jimmy Joe Rodgers on August 27, 1960 in Konawa.  Neva lived life unconditionally and completely.  According to her family and friends, she had perfect pitch and expected as much from others.  She could play piano by ear, and she loved all types of music.  Neva loved to figure out your favorite food and have it prepared and ready for you to eat when you came to visit her.  She was also known as the official pie maker for all church socials and events.  She perfected the art of doodling on everything around her, and she loved to create T-shirt art.  Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren, and of course, she claimed that they were perfect and the very best in every way.

She is survived by three sons, Scott Sexton of Wanette, Oklahoma, James Roberts and wife, Linda Roberts of Konawa, and Jimmy Joe Rodgers, Jr. and wife, Connie of Konawa; two daughters, Gina Bass and husband, Cliff of Wanette, and Anna Belle Ellis and husband, Jerimy of Yukon, Oklahoma; one brother, Bill Isaacs and wife, Juanda of Konawa; one sister, Lavada Archer of Glendale, Arizona; 14 grandchildren, April Robb, Chris Scott, Amanda Hernandez, Isaac Roberts, Joshua Roberts, Jamie Roberts, Cody Bass, Monica Sexton, Heather Perry, Caleb Bass, Jacob Rodgers, Kaysea Greene, Sara Rodgers, and Benjamin Ellis; 29 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ida Belle Isaacs; her husband, Jimmy Rodgers, Sr. on June 18, 2008; in-laws, Joe and Mary Rodgers; granddaughter, Jessica Lawless; 3 sisters, Wyoma Pairet, Audrey Coursey, and Lola Roberts; and 5 brothers, Beecher, Orville, Raymond, Vernon, and Doug Isaacs.
