Bart Ackerman

Roland Bart Ackerman, age 61, of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away on April 13, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a sudden illness. He was born on August 4, 1959 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Bob and Kay (Sagen) Ackerman. He grew up in Colorado and graduated from Platte Canyon High School in Bailey, Colorado. He married Kathy Winn on February 16, 1990 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Bart worked as an electrician at Central Plastics in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Bart is survived by his wife Kathy Ackerman of the home in Seminole, his son; Colt Ackerman of Ada, Oklahoma, his daughter; Courtney Hartog and her husband Myles of Moore, Oklahoma, his brothers; Rodney Ackerman of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Ron Ackerman of Canton, Texas and Bryce Ackerman of Shawnee, Oklahoma, granddaughters; Chaiyah and Coya, his very special hoverboard buddy; Addy and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughters; Jenna Kay Ackerman and Angela Dawn Davis and his brother; Brian Ackerman.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rodney Ackerman officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole.

Casket bearers will be Brian Myers, David Barnes, Donnie Oldham, Tommy Thompson, Jason Welch and James Todd. Honorary bearers will be Samuel Ackerman, Myles Hartog, Ronald Ackerman, Bryce Ackerman, Rodney Ackerman, Jason Ackerman, Delbert Bartosh, Scott Bartosh and countless friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
