Aubrey Ervin Irons

Aubrey Ervin Irons, Seminole resident, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at his home at the age of 80. Aubrey was born on December 30,1940 in Valliant, Oklahoma to Richard Aubrey and Lilly Bell (Beene) Irons. He proudly served his country as seaman apprentice in the United States Navy.

Aubrey married Martha Lay on February 14, 2002, in Wolf City, Texas. He served as Pastor for 60 years. He enjoyed watching television, reading books and road trips all across our nation.

Aubrey is survived by his wife of 19 years; Martha Irons of the home, son; Aubrey E. Irons, Jr. and wife Ashley of Princeton, Texas, daughter; Sharesa Hunter and husband Robert of Richmond, Texas, stepdaughters; Lisa York and her husband Bruce of Seminole, Oklahoma, Disariee Murphy of Seminole, Oklahoma and Ishalia McCombs and husband Jack of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, sisters; Marie Roberson of Edmond, Oklahoma and Cathy Black and husband Mike, grandsons; Cody and Christian Williams, Aerin Irons, Allen, Trey, Jared, Travis and Cameron York, Marc Deller and Robbie McCombs, granddaughters; Kristin Nabors, Leslie Crawford, Alyssa-Ann Irons, Ella York and Cheyenne Deller, five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends.

Aubrey was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father; Dave Kellum, daughter; Audrey Ann Crawford, sister; Catherine Treaster and his late wife of 44 years; Betty Anne Irons.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Bruce York will officiate assisted by Rev. Randy Lawson and Bishop David Jarvis. Cremation will follow the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
