His greatest attribute was being a really great friend to everyone. Through his sense of calm, ease and helpfulness, he truly cared about everyone around him. Richard would give his time to show up all across the state to his biological family’ events and his ever growing extended family and their kids' events and special occasions. His prayer lists was an actual list on paper that would have your name on it with multiple things to pray about. When he showed up to see you, know that he was at his happiest. When he was able to talk to you, know that he was at his happiest.

Richard proudly served his country from July, 1967 until July 1969 as a Field/Combat Medic Staff Sergeant in Vietnam and served in the 11th Armored Cavalry during the Tet Offensive ultimately earning the Purple Heart Award for his service patching many wounded soldiers. He married Linda K. Lamb on July 22, 1976 in Davenport, Oklahoma.  He loved God first, 8-man football, golfing, and fishing.  Most of all, he loved God and his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Linda K. Worley of the home; one son, James Worley and wife, Mecynda of Medford, Oklahoma; one daughter, Shelly Heath and husband, John of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother, Jerry Worley and wife, Bonnie of Talihina, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Ashley Heath, and many other family and friends.
