Cleo May (Redmond) Netherton

Cleo May Netherton, Seminole, OK resident, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 70.  Cleo was born on May 17, 1953 in Schenectady, New York to Theodore Frank and Joyce Edna (Chase) Redmond.  She lived in Schenectady until age 9. Most of her life was lived in Florida and Oklahoma.  She worked until retirement as a nurse and enjoyed her work greatly.

Cleo loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.  She loved to cook, sew and collect knick-knacks including coffee cups and shot glasses. Cleo especially enjoyed having fun with her friends and going to bike rallies. She took pride in being Irish and celebrating that history.

Cleo is survived by her three sons, Stanley Stewart of Tampa, FL, Kenneth Stewart of  Crossville, TN and Joel Hunt of Texas; two daughters, Theodora Stewart of Seminole, OK and Rhonda Stewart of Monterey, TN; two brothers, Glen Redmond of Woodstock, GA and Bill Redmond of Decatur, AL; one sister, Julie Screws of Virginia Beach, VA; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her devoted life partner, Edward Anderson of Seminole, OK and many other family and friends.

Cleo was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Marchelle Lee Stewart.

A celebration of Cleo’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK.  Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
